With the Patriots’ season coming to an end, they enter the offseason and look toward the most important part of it, the draft. The Celtics are entering the final stretch of their season and are trying to land a top seed in this year’s playoffs.
The Pat’s turnaround of two seasons ago to this year was nothing short of unbelievable. The Pats were the two-seed in the AFC and were able to make it all the way to the Super Bowl, where they ultimately fell short to the Seahawks.
In the playoffs, the defense played the best they had played all season, but Drake Maye and the rest of the Pats offense fell on their face. Over the playoffs, they scored minimal points, and it eventually cost them when they met a team that finally capitalized on their mistakes.

Those disappointing offensive performances follow the Pats towards the draft and will influence their picks. Their number one need as a team is the same as it was last year, Offensive Line. The O-line cost them the whole season and led to Drake Maye fumbling 6 times in the playoffs and 14 times over the whole season due to the O-line not being able to stop a cold.
There are definitely some O-Linemen in the upcoming draft that the Pats’ front office would be very excited to get. However, they would have to trade to move up the draft order and have to consider what’s worth it, especially with how rookie Will Campbell played this season.
Some of the top O-line rookies in the class are Francis Mauigoa(T), Spencer Fano(T), Monroe Freeling(T), and Kadyn Proctor(T). Mauigoa, out of Miami(FL), has been a starter for all three years of his college career and reached the top of the class. Fano from Utah has the highest PFF grade across college football since 2024. Freeling from Georgia is one of the best in the draft, athletic-wise, posting a 4.93 40-yard dash, which is very impressive for a lineman. Then, Proctor ranked 4th across all linemen in college football this past year.
There is a ton of talent from this class, and these are just the top-heavy guys. The only thing that matters is getting a guy that fits and getting value for your pick. The Pats are known for that sort of thing with the greatest value pick ever a quarter century ago.
The Celtics just recently got Jayson Tatum back from injury, and Celtics fans couldn’t be happier. Without Tatum, the Celtics were 2nd in the conference and now with him, they’re already looking at that finals trophy in June.

When Tatum was out, they needed a new standout guy, and luckily they had someone who was used to the role. Jaylen Brown, who has been averaging 28.3 points per game. He has been on fire for the whole season and has been helping the team in whichever way he can.
Tatum, in his 3 games back with limited minutes, is already averaging 19.7 points per game. The Celtics are 2-1 with Tatum back and are currently looking up at the Pistons, who are 3 games ahead of them at the top of the Eastern Conference.
With a 7-3 record in their last 10 games, they continually look to improve. With Tatum and Brown leading the charge and continuing the way they’re playing right now, they shouldn’t have a problem.
