A: “I’ve been working at Norwood High for 4 years.”
Q: Did you work anywhere else before Norwood High?
A: “I worked at the police station in Norwood before working here, and I then came to the high school after working at the station for a couple of years.”
Q: What’s your favorite part about working at NHS?
A: “My favorite part of working at Norwood High is interacting with all of the students. Getting to know all of the students has been such a fun opportunity.”
Q: What’s the hardest part about working at Norwood High?
A: “The most challenging part of the job is definitely seeing the students go through difficult personal issues. When working in a school, you see fewer actual crimes and more students going through personal issues such as family conflicts. This has always been the most difficult for me.”
Q: What’s a word of advice you would give to someone coming to work at Norwood High?
A: “Getting to know people was very helpful for me. I would say that they should get to know students and staff, because once you get to know people, the job becomes a lot more enjoyable.”
Q: What’s something that you wish you knew before you came to Norwood High?
A: “Before coming to Norwood High, there were a lot of things I didn’t know. I didn’t realise how much I didn’t know before I began working here, but I would tell my past self that I should be more open in getting to know others because that truly is the greatest part of the job.
