To start, Brazil is a very good team; they have won 5 World Cup titles in total, and they have amazing players. They are also the only team to play in the World Cup every single year. They are widely considered the most successful nation in soccer history, holding the most World Cup titles. According to sportingnews.com, we should root for them this year because they are a very good team, and it’s also nice to learn about the culture of soccer and how young they were when they first started playing.

However, due to an ACL injury in October of 2023, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, known as Neymar, the most famous player of Brazil, won’t be playing, so I believe Brazil doesn’t stand a chance. The last few games they had were between France and Croatia, losing to France and winning against Croatia; they are going steady. Still, I’m not too sure they can do it without Neymar’s exceptional dribbling skills, technical ability, creativity, and prolific goal-scoring, and embodying the Brazilian culture. Neymar has scored 79 goals in 128 caps for Brazil. He is one of Brazil’s favorite players and is beloved.

Now others may have a different opinion, and that’s okay, but this is my opinion, and I think that Brazil won’t win the World Cup due to one of the best players not playing because of an injury that happened 3 years ago. Neymar, still recovering from his injury, has the slightest chance that he will play, but it’s best not to get our hopes up and know that he won’t return this season.

Brazil is still a wonderful team with and without Neymar, and rooting for them gives them a definite boost this season, even tho losing to  France set them off, they got back up by taking a win from Croatia. The next game will be on May 31,29 at 4:00 PM, and I’m very much looking forward to watching this game.

Even though Neymar isn’t there, I believe Brazil can score a couple of goals, but I don’t think they will win without him, and I do hope that he gets better.
