Many high school students have submitted their applications and are now waiting to hear back from all their schools, or have already heard back from their schools. 

Money is something that plays a big role in the college process because these schools are expensive, and you want to choose a school that won’t put you in thousands of dollars of debt when you graduate. 

Scholarships are a really easy and good way to get some money from your school and the school you plan to go to in the fall. They are a good way to make higher education affordable for all 

Mrs. Morrison shares more information about how to access scholarships and what types you should apply for. 

“You can find scholarships on our website, Norwood High School website, under the school counseling tab. There will be another tab for scholarships, and there will be a link, and every scholarship that comes to us is there with either a link to the website or a link to the scholarship application.”

Guidance is making it very easy for students to access these scholarships 

“Also, I will be making copies of all of them and putting them on the board over there, so kids can see the hard copy so they can see what’s available to them.” 

There are also some school and town-specific scholarships that you can apply for. 

“Students should definitely be applying for the Norwood Dollars for Scholars, Norwood Scholarship Foundation. They should go in; the application opens on February first. All the information, and at the end, anything they’re eligible for, which includes many scholarships, can be submitted.”
