The freshmen officers have had a good experience within their time in office and are, overall, happy with their progress this school year; however, fundraising continues to be an area they hope to improve on. 

“I think we would really love to focus on getting more out of each fundraiser than we did. Whether that’s money-wise or involving more people in fundraisers,” said class secretary Samantha Lee.

The fundraisers have brought in a good amount of money for the class of 2029. 

“From the fundraisers we’ve done that have been very successful, we have over 1000 dollars right now,” said class president, Eleanor Kidd. 

The class also has money from fundraisers that were done during their time in middle school, which was kept for them. 

“[Treasurer Emily Morgan] has brought up some money from past fundraisers from when we were younger that the middle school kept for us,” said Kidd. 

Advisor and Adjustment Counselor Leah Stevens has been taught a lot by the class officer of 2029, and she believes that they are doing an amazing job. 

“ Oh, my god, they’re amazing. Nora has been an incredible leader for the class officers and for the whole class… They’ve taught me a lot because this is my first time being a class advisor, so I didn’t know what I was doing. So I’ve learned a lot from them,” said Stevens.

President Eleanor Kidd, Treasurer Emily Morgan, and Secretary Samantha Lee have all decided that they are going to run again for the next school year. 

“Definitely. I absolutely am thinking about it,”  said Morgan. 

And yes, they do have plans ready for next year, like fundraisers and activities for the students and the community.

“So we’re kind of coming up with an idea for like 5k or a race that we could open up to not just the high school, but all of Norwood…We also have a car wash coming up at the beginning of next year,” said  Kidd.
