Q: What is your name and how do you spell it?
A: “John Shnatterly”
Q: What do you teach?
A: “I teach all subjects right now, as well as teaching the freshman academy for the first time, and I also have my own academic strategy class. I teach history with Ms. Leichtman, math with Ms. Curly, English with Ms. Connolly, and Bio with Ms. Stokes. I thought this year was amazing. It was a little nerve-racking teaching freshmen because I am used to teaching upperclassmen. Staying with the freshmen all day helped me build a relationship with students.”

A: “Getting to know all the kids is definitely one of my favorite things, helping them learn and grow, and also having good relationships with them.”
Q;‘’ Did you know you always wanted to be a teacher?”
A: “Actually, no. It was my plan B. I did not start college right away to become a teacher; it was my backup plan, but as time went on, it became my plan A, and I am so glad it worked out. An opportunity fell in my lap to go back to school and teach.”
