Robotics Club takes place on Tuesdays after school in room 358 and is run by Dr. Michael Crowley and Mr. Brendan Crowley.
Every year, in Robotics Club, students are presented with a technology-related challenge to solve. This year, students participating in the club will take objects that are online or inanimate objects and will turn them into data collectors.
This is a century-old problem and will be solved with the use of the “Internet of Things,” involving the newest technology. Students will have to use their knowledge of robotics and engineering to complete this task while also learning many new, valuable skills, such as coding, along the way.
Dr Crowley was looking for a way to challenge students and to give them something they can be involved in after school.
“Everybody here is super motivated, they all love to be challenged,” said Dr Crowley.

The students in Robotics Club have been working very hard on their projects; they are persevering and have made time for the club even with busy schedules. The club has become a creative outlet for many and allows students to work diligently on something they are passionate about.
“Robotics has always been something I am very interested in, so I wanted to learn more about it,” said freshman Cadence Phillips.
This club helps others learn more about topics they may want to pursue that regular classes do not offer. Robotics club helps to give students more opportunities to explore new ideas and challenges that they do not normally have. It helps to give students a better understanding of if a career involving engineering is something they would want to do in life.
If you are interested in topics involving engineering and robotics, consider joining Robotics Club to experience a new way of thinking. You will get the chance to build off your current knowledge of robotics and will be able to take part in unique experiences throughout the year.
