Get ready, NHS, for Norwood High School’s annual prom fashion show, “Style on the Hill,” which will take place tonight, Thursday, March 27.
“Style on the Hill’ is a showcase that revolves around prom dress wear. It’s for students to show off what they will be wearing to prom on stage in the auditorium,” said Cameron Anderson.
“Style on the Hill” is an increasingly popular NHS event that gathers a larger crowd each passing year. NHS Seniors come together to form groups of 3-6 to go out on stage and showcase their prom outfits.
But what exactly should participating seniors expect? Essentially, each group of seniors should come together to pick out a song to walk out on stage to. The song must be school-appropriate, and the walkout can contain as much or as little choreography as the group desires. After the song clip ends, the group of seniors should assemble in a row for the narrator to describe everyone’s outfit.
One member of the NHS staff who is particularly excited about the upcoming event is Cameron Anderson.
“I really look forward to seeing how much fun the kids are having. They really look forward to this every year. My favorite part about it is seeing the kids enjoying themselves. It’s why I volunteer for preparation and attend the event every year,” said Anderson.
Something that the NHS students love about SOTH, according to sophomore Olivia Collins, is “watching everyone’s outfits, and seeing what everyone loves and their unique style, it’s also a good way to connect with people about your fashion interests.”
