Journalism Lab is proud to unveil our new and improved website for the Mustang Gazette.
The Mustang Gazette was founded in 2019 by the first class of Journalism Lab students. It has evolved since then from a blank Google site to a robust, news and feature-filled website that attracted viewers from the school, community, and beyond.
Completely student-run under the guidance of Journalism teacher Elizabeth Colahan, the Mustang Gazette is the touchstone of each J-LAB class. Each class had its hand in making the website truly theirs. Hundreds of students have had their work published.
This year, the Mustang Gazette staff is flush with bright minds from all grades who are ready to begin covering the hottest stories inside and outside of the doors of NHS.
With the help of new website features such as access to creating polls, info boxes, and countdowns, the Mustang Gazette is able to not only be fully interactive for the journalists of NHS, but for the readers as well.
At the Mustang Gazette, our staff prioritizes publishing only the facts, providing varying and diverse perspectives, and in-depth reporting. From feature stories to opinions to reviews, the Gazette has it all.
With the introduction of a new website, the Mustang Gazette continues to make an effort to uphold the highest moral and journalistic standards and keep our community educated and well-informed.
The only difference is the new, fun, and improved ways to keep our students and community feel included within the paragraphs.
Thank you for continuing to support the Mustang Gazette and stay tuned to see what kinds of brilliant and interesting stories will begin to fill the front page!
