East Coast Summers by Kaleb Cohen
Kaleb Cohen is a young musician from Madison, CT. I discovered him on Instagram, where many young artists are now getting found. Cohen’s goal with this song was to capture the feeling of summer on the East Coast, and he did exactly that. The lyrics of this song show what the ideal summer for anyone on the East Coast is like, whether that is on the Cape or in Maine. It immediately made me think of boat rides, barbeques, and getting a nice tan. I would recommend this song to anyone who is looking to get in the summer spirit or someone in need of a mood booster during the torturous ride to the Cape.

Garden of Eden by Lady Gaga
When Lady Gaga’s latest album, Mayhem, came out in March, I, along with all Lady Gaga listeners, were nervous that this album wouldn’t be up to par with what she’s released in the past. Needless to say, all my expectations were exceeded. Garden of Eden is a sneaky good song on this album, combining Lady Gaga’s funky pop beats with her impressive vocal range. This song is perfect to scream in the car on a warm summer night or to listen to whenever you need a mood boost.
I’m The Problem by Morgan Wallen

I’m The Problem has quickly risen in popularity, and led to a lot of the hype surrounding Wallen’s latest album, of the same name. Amidst its popularity, I’m The Problem is also one of Wallen’s most controversial songs. It was released this winter, ahead of the rest of the album. Soon after it came out, the audio received backlash, being called his “narcissist” track because of how the lyrics portray him and the woman in it. While much darker than most of his songs, I’m The Problem is still very catchy and easy to listen to. I would recommend this song to any country fan or anyone who needs to scream their heart out.
undressed by sombr
sombr is another young, up-and-coming singer. He layers traditional indie backing tracks with his eerie voice to make a moody song that is strangely upbeat at
the same time. A quick drumbeat helps pace this song, making it easy to listen to even with its depressing lyrics. sombr’s lyrics are also straightforward to follow, creating a song that can be sung along with, even if you don’t know it word-for-word. I would recommend undressed to anyone who wants a chill song that can be played in the background, or a calm song to listen to when driving through the wooded roads in Maine.

Indigo by Sam Barber (feat. Avery Anna)
Fans of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers should give Sam Barber a listen. An up-and-coming artist from Perry County, MO, Barber was on the 20th season of American Idol but got eliminated in Hollywood Week, so his audition and performance never aired. Indigo is a track on his 2024 album Restless Mind. It has gained popularity by spreading on TikTok, and it was a very popular trend for people to share their own stories to its lyrics. For this song, Barber partnered with Avery Anna, another young artist who was originally known for her TikTok covers of well-known female country artists. Barber and Anna collaborated on writing the lyrics for this song, coming out with an emotional song about heartbreak that resonates with a large audience. Barber’s acoustic guitar and Anna’s piano playing, paired with their beautiful harmonies, make this song perfect for a bonfire on a cool summer night.
