Seniors who attended the post-prom party received a custom t-shirt designed by a fellow student.
Students were encouraged to submit designs for the t-shirts with this year’s post-prom theme by April 14. This year, the theme chosen was Western. John Quinn, the host of the design contest, said that the number of t-shirt submissions has decreased significantly over the past several years.
“We used to have a club for it,” Quinn said.
Students in the club used to be able to pick a theme for post-prom, but nowadays, it’s just chosen by the high school staff.
There were only two submissions this year, one from Zander Allan and one from Lindsey Collins. Ultimately, Allan’s design won.
Allan used ProCreate to create the design. They used vintage elements to apply the Western theme to their design.
“I had to make sure all the lines were crisp and clean because of the program I was using,” they said.
However, even with the lack of choice of theme, Allan was delighted with the theme and how they were able to apply it in their design.
“I like the Western vibe,” Allan said.
