The class of 2025 held a dodgeball tournament on March 12 in the gym. 12 teams signed up to compete and dodge, duck, and dive. The class made about 300 dollars, which will go towards their activities later in the year, like prom.
As teams dropped from the bracket fast, they quickly gained strong feelings for the teams they hoped to win.
“I’m gonna have to go… I have to go Banksy. Matty Banks!” said freshman Derek Mourad following their loss against team “PTTM.”

Among the 10 student-led teams, there were two teacher teams. Business teacher Stephen Burrill and his team, “Get Schooled,” came into the tournament ready to take back the win after coming in second last year.

“They actually changed the rules in the finals just to get us to lose last year, so we are ready for some revenge,” recalled Burrill.
He added that the students he had spoken to had quite a bit of confidence, but he thinks they would need more than that to beat them.
Senior Shea Larkee was in attendance on Wednesday during the tournament. She was there rooting for her class to win big.
“I’m going for the underdogs [team “Guzzle Juice”]… yeah, I’m happy that Lizzy’s [Lizzy Helmar] on it. She’s the only girl, which excites me, so I’m hoping they come out with the win,” Larkee said.
In the end, the final match was against the “Blue Boys” and “Guzzle Juice.” Team Blue Boys, including Ryan Valeri, Jacob Sheehan, Frankie Sheehan, Brian Dearborn, and James Norton, came out on top.
Despite their efforts, Stephen Burrill and “Get Schooled” didn’t make it this year.
“There is always next year…I have said that for the last three years, though,” Burrill said.
