Josh Randall and Luke Nataupsky have enjoyed their first year on the NHS golf team they have learned but also enjoyed the older players’ company on their team.
On the team, Randall and Nataupsky are some of the youngest players on it but they do know some other players from their grade on it. but on the team, they have to adjust to the older players but could also use them as mentors for advice.
They both share a love for competition and strive to be better.
“I love the idea of getting better and I play on courses every week and go to the driving range with my dad and my brother,” said Nataupsky.
Nataupsky starts for the team while Randall is on reserves (if a starter is unable to play, he fills in).
They contrast in how long they’ve been playing the game. Randall has been playing for nearly a decade whilst Nataupsky has been for only a year.
When asked if there was a certain person that got Randall into golf, Randall shared “my dad, I still remember the memory today, he just had me hitting rocks [in the backyard] and I immediately fell in love”.
Nataupsky had quite a contrasting response, “It just looked fun and I’ve continued with it” said Nataupsky.
They both share a passion for golf and both show it inside and outside of school.
“I definitely consider it a passion because I’ve gone golfing what feels like 80 times this summer,” said Nataupsky
Randall and Nataupsky find golf both a very serious and fun sport and they certainly take the time to perfect their skills.
With their season coming to a close, one thing is for sure: they both had a great time on the team and we can look forward to seeing them next year on the course.
